Memorial Scholarship Award Committee

The Memorial Scholarship was designed with a nontraditional student in mind, created to be inclusive of various educational paths. There is no deadline for submission. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The award is $1,000 based on the availability of funds.

To be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must: 

  1. Be a student of African descent residing within our service area. 

  • Student must live within our service area: Manhattan east to west from the East River to the Hudson River and the north to south below 155th Street south to Battery Park.

  1. Currently enrolled in a 2-year, 4-year, or certificate program or trade school.
