COVID-19 / Novel Coronavirus: Response Testing

Get Tested in Your Community

The City of New York is working to expand testing for COVID-19 rapidly throughout the five boroughs.

Community testing sites operated by NYC Health + Hospitals use self-collection of swabs to minimize contact between patients and health care workers. Self-swab testing for COVID-19 is safer, simpler and faster.

Free and convenient walk-in testing is now available at the following locations. No appointment is necessary. Check back regularly for more locations as sites continue to be opened.

Outside of the New York City Area - Contact the New York State Department of Health

The FDA has approved New York State to authorize the state's 28 public and private labs to begin manual, semi-automated and automated testing for novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.

The approval allows the state to dramatically increase testing capacity to thousands of tests per day. The approval also extends to the Roche high-volume platform for testing.

Testing is free to all eligible New Yorkers as ordered by a health care provider or by calling the NYS COVID-19 hotline at 1-888-364-3065.

Your local health department is your community contact for COVID19 concerns.

COVID-19 / Novel Coronavirus: New York City Food Delivery Assistance

The City of New York is providing assistance to New Yorkers during the COVID-19 crisis by delivering meals to those who cannot access food themselves.

This website is intended for individuals and families who meet all of the following criteria as a result of the COVID-19 emergency:

  • No members of the household can go out and get food because they are at increased medical risk or homebound

  • No neighbors or family members can go out and get food for you

  • Do not receive meal assistance from other providers (including Meals on Wheels or God's Love We Deliver) and

  • You are unable to afford meal delivery or grocery delivery

Households that qualify may order three days of food at a time for up to a month.

All orders will be delivered within three days of the order date.

Each delivery will contain three days of food (9 meals per person, but no household will receive more than 18 meals per delivery).
