Each program year since 1920, New York Alumnae Chapter successfully sponsors major projects and programs that are designed to improve and enrich the quality of life for less advantaged youth and the elderly in our community service area of Manhattan south of 155th Street between the Hudson and East Rivers.

NYAC is well-known for our annual fundraising events that support our public service programs and college-scholarship recipients: the Taste of Manhattan featuring Kings Who Cook in the fall and the Big Hats & Brims Scholarship Brunch in the spring. Our annual May Week is a culturally enriched program open to the community during the month of May. We also host several additional events and activities that engage and enlighten our community throughout our program year.
