Message from the President
Welcome to the web site of the New York Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the first graduate chapter of our illustrious sorority.
Delta Sigma Theta is a national public service organization founded on Christian principles by twenty-two college-educated women on the campus of Howard University on January 13, 1913.
Our membership is
diverse in age, background, and profession, but we share a common
bond in sisterhood, scholarship, and service to Manhattan and
especially the Harlem community through our sorority's five-point
program thrust:
- Educational Development
- Economic Development
- Political Awareness and Involvement
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health.
