Welcome to the web site of the New York Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the first graduate chapter of our sorority. Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two African-American students at Howard University. This year marks the centennial anniversary for the founding of our illustrious organization.
New York Alumnae Chapter membership includes 150 women all diverse in age, background and profession. But we share a common bond rooted in sisterhood, scholarship and service. Our service area spans throughout New York City river-to-river south of 155th Street.
We honor our missionary Founders, celebrate our sacred sisterhood and embark on a new century of committed public service through the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: |
